Admittedly, it does not smell ~expensive~ but honestly not every perfume is supposed to take itself too seriously. Glow by JLo is a women's fragrance endorsed by American entertainer Jennifer Lopez, and released through Cotyorporated.
It's like if you took some of my thoughts in my initial review but added a lot more tropical fruit and sweetness to it.A ridiculously soapy orange blossom counterintuitively trumpets softer, soapy, rosy powder to come — virginal, virtual-reality sunscreen. At the time, I thought my options when it comes to fragrances were pretty much what my mother wore or fruity body sprays I'd find at Victoria's secret. Top notes are Passionfruit, Coconut Milk and Pink Grapefruit; middle notes are Orange Blossom, Cyclamen and Heliotrope; base notes are Vanilla, Musk and Amber. Beachy, summery, sorta sexy - everything I love but I was so incredibly disappointed and confused upon first sniff. It's definitely a sunscreen kind of smelling perfume but it's obviously so much better than just a sunscreen. It's a sexy tropical vacation, it's beautiful tanned skin glistening in the sun, it's warm, it's intoxicating, it's Miami nights.Definitely my preferred summer scent, but I also wore it during winter when the weather was awful and I felt nostalgic about summer. The original formulation is produced by the Lancaster Group whereas the newer bottles are being made by SA Perfumes LTD. Either it’s the perfume that got better after spraying it once and letting it sit - or I noticed the drydown only when I wore it for a while. This does not smell like the note description honestly what I pick up the most are the Citrus white florals and musk it’s a very strong scent I could only really picture a old lady liking this I wouldn’t consider this a summer fragrance.
It's very sweet and artificially fruity in the opening, then it gradually becomes soapy and powdery, just like Glow. I'll straight up tell you the weirdest and most intriguing thing about this fragrance is that is so tropical, so plastic, and so soapy ALL IN ONE. You slather on Hawaiian Tropics tanning oil (in the brown bottle), you lay out a bit, then take a dip in the pool.PS I think if it were summertime and you're newly in love and you both love the sea and spent your days swimming and loving on the beach and you wore Miami Glow. it is zingy, fruity, clean and mouth watering but unfortunately the lasting power or projection isn't amazing unless you over spray. Personally, I think it smells divine, although I admit that, like "Happy", I like the scent more when I initially spray it on more than in the dry down. Miami Glow is a fun light hearted fragrance that I've found to last on my clothes until the next day, BUT only if I over spray. She's been wearing Miami Glow every single summer since forever, so she loves it for those memories, not because it's an amazing fragrance.
